CADD & design

We have some of the best software available at our disposal. With 2 seats of AutoDesk’s Product Design and Manufacturing collection, we have programs such as Inventor, 3Ds Max, AutoCAD.

Why Is Design Important?

Computer Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) comes in many forms from 2D drawings to 3D parametric modeling.

How CADD Is Used & Why

We have some of the best software available at our disposal. With 2 seats of AutoDesk’s Product Design and Manufacturing collection, we have programs such as Inventor, 3Ds Max, AutoCAD, Eagle, Fusion, Nastran, Navisworks, Recap Pro, HSMWorks, and Vault. Our most used software is Autodesk Inventor. We have full structural, mechanical, and sheet metal design capabilities. Whatever your design needs are, we have you covered.

Our machines include:
• (2) Fusion3 F410 printers
• (5) Prusa MK3S printers
• Zortrax Apoller smoother

What CADD can do

3D Printing With Koechners

Prototyping

We also offer rapid prototyping and short-run production with our 3D printing department. We can print most types of plastic including ABS, ASA, PLA, PETG, and carbon-fiber mixes. We keep all these on-hand in various colors. Our printers have build volumes up to 16” x 16” x 16”. To better finish our 3D prints we also have a Zortrax Apoller smoothing unit. This machine mists acetone or MEK vapor in a sealed chamber to polish the surface of the prints and make them more closely resemble injection molded pieces.
